To start our story...

Nearly two years ago, my niece Jade was born — a moment that brought immense joy to our family. My sister and I have always been close, so in many ways, I felt like I was preparing for her arrival right alongside her. Being newly minted auntie status - naturally, one of the first things I got excited about was cute clothes for our girl!

But I realized something real quick: a lot of the styles I liked were wildly expensive. We’re talking $100+ for a baby chore coat?? Knowing how fast kids grow (blink and it’s too small), I couldn’t justify spending that much on something she’d only wear a handful of times.

That’s when it hit me: I couldn’t be the only one looking for fun, fashionable, well-made kids clothes that didn’t cost a fortune. I wanted to give generously and joyfully — not stress over every price tag. When I couldn’t find that winning combo — not online or locally in Chicago — I figured, why not build it myself?

And just like that, lst Waltz was born!

And as Jade grew, so did the idea for lst Waltz. One of my favorite things to do with her is curl up with a book and read — just like my dad would with me when I was little. He would take me and my sister to the library every weekend and I loved to write my own little stories. Created by my family’s shared love for books, our Peek-A-Boo Press storybooks spark that same curiosity and learning. We want to give kids a way to explore the world through imagination, learn invaluable lessons, and grow right alongside the characters they meet on the page.
